Mike Maresh, # 17, was the starting outside linebacker for North Dakota State University during his four year college career. Along with Philadephia Eagle Joe Mays and Ramon Humber, Mike was part of one of the greatest linebacking trios in school's history and a nationally ranked defense. At 6'1", 240 lbs, he has the presence, speed (a 4.63 40-yard dash) and toughness (4-time high school All American wrestler) to compete in the NFL. Among his collge career highlights: * 9 solo tackles against Cal Poly * 10 total tackles against Minnesota * Started all but two of the 43 games during his tenure * Had 82 tackles during his senior season, more than 215 during his career * Is fifth all time for career solo tackles What football experts say about Mike: * Joe Mays, Philadephia Eagle linebacker -- "He is like Teddy Bruschi, only faster and smarter." * Pat Perles, a Kansas City Chiefs offensive coach -- "He has all the intangibles you want in a player; he's a guy you want in your locker room and on the field." * Bill Welle, trainer at Velocity Sports who has worked with some of the biggest NFL names (Chris Carter, Daunte Cullpepper, Jamal Lewis, Randy Moss) -- "If I had to write up a defense, I would definitely put him on the defensive side of the ball."
